I’m sure that I have been a pet lover, I have even bought a pet, but I have never owned one. The day that I got a free pet collar was pretty sweet. I was a very small child, and I was in the middle of my elementary school years. I had no idea what a collar was, and I didn’t know how it worked.

The idea of wearing a collar to protect yourself from something was a very real thing in our society in the mid-1970’s and early 1980’s. The collar was a way to signal your friend or family that you could trust someone. The idea of wearing a collar to protect yourself from something was also a fairly common thing in our society, and this was especially true in the 1980’s with the Baby Boomer generation.

You could have been wearing a collar in your own home, but you could have spent your childhood in a house, and you would of course not have been wearing it.

The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

This is why being aware of your habits, routines, and impulses can make the difference between making it through the day, or making it through the week. If we can find things to improve our habits, routines, and impulses, we can make a difference.

One of the things that made me want to start writing this post is that in addition to all the things I mentioned in the first paragraph the author also mentioned that Martha Stewart pet collar is a great example of this. I love it. I especially like how the author includes the word “self-aware” in the title and the first sentence. That word is important because if we can improve our habits, routines, and impulses we can make a difference.

When I talk to people about self-awareness I often mention this point, and I get lots of blank stares. What I mean by this is that we can’t always go it alone. We need to be in charge of our habits, routines, and impulses. We need to be aware of our habits, routines, and impulses. This is the only way we can make a difference.

The habit of not wanting to be self-aware is a problem. We are all so busy being self-aware that we forget to be self-aware. We need to be self-aware so we can make a difference. A person with self-awareness can exercise his meta-cognition and say, “Hmm… this is a really cool idea, but I can’t do it.” A person without self-awareness can hit the bottle and not look back.

In the new trailer we see a young girl named Martha get a pet collar. The point isn’t to be nice to animals, it’s just that Martha has no idea that she is an animal. The collar gives her the ability to control her pet, but it also allows her to do some pretty dumb things to other animals. Martha has a pet dog named Pepper who she uses to guard her home.
